Hello and Welcome!

Hi I’m Nessy, the founder of LCL Pride and thank you for joining us on this journey.

My first season properly watching London City Lionesses was the 23/24 season. Six weeks into the new year LCL found themselves facing both Arsenal and Liverpool in the League Cup and FA Cup respectively. A manager sacking,  a flooded pitch at Prince’s Park and a team that bravely battled out of the relegation zone, brought our small, but mighty, fanbase together. Our passion was matched by that of interim manager, Remi Allen.

By the last day of my first full season, I knew I was hooked, and that our community fanbase could thrive.

In the midst of all this was ownership takeovers, and then a change of grounds, bringing us to Hayes Lane and the start of superstar players joining London City.

Winning the Championship in May 2025 seemed like something impossible just twelve months earlier. In the light of these changes and despite the club being formed in 2019, we want to be a place where our growing fanbase can unite, discuss football, and nor forget our history or heritage.

I may have started this, but I can’t do it all alone. If you’d like to get involved in our podcasts, taking photographs on matchdays or writing some articles about your experiences, please get in touch.

To us, LCL is not a project. A project has a beginning, middle and end. This is our community, our club. Our City, Our Team.
